Energy Bliss Balls
These bliss balls are exactly that. Bliss with every bite! One of my favourite things to make on a Sunday afternoon so I have something prepared for my 3pm sweet cravings during the week. No refined sugar and perfect for a pre workout snack.
Please also feel free to play around with ingredients. If you don't like dates swap them to dried figs or simply add maca, camu camu or if you can handle a little more green spirilina or matcha green tea powder. The kitchen is your playground, have fun.
Makes 15-20 balls depending on the size.
150g Medjool Dates
1 tsp chia seeds
1/2 cup almonds
1/2 cup of hazelnuts
1tsp vanilla extract or powder
pinch of pink salt
2 tsp melted coconut oil
2 tsp raw cacao powder
- Place all the nuts into a food processor until all chopped and place in large bowl.
- Process all remaining ingredients, then add to the bowl of nuts. Feel free if you think the mixture is to dry add a little bit more of coconut oil.
- Get ready to get your hands dirty! Roll mixture into balls with your hands and place in the fridge for two hours.
TIP: Roll your bliss balls in super food extras, like pepitas, cacao, gogi berries or coconut for an extra nutritional punch!
